Deanne Endrizzi is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature.
Her favorite genre to write are picture books, but she has written a middle grade novel and is working on a young adult novel. She also enjoys writing non-fiction stories with her corresponding photos.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Ornithology and has worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 33 years as an environmental educator, resource librarian, permits examiner, and for the last fourteen years, a Migratory Bird Biologist. She is now retired.
Since she has an extensive natural history background, many of her stories are nature-related, but not all.
Her article, “Fall Migration with Bald Eagles” was published in Stories for Children Magazine. She’s also written several articles published in Inside Region 3 for the Fish and Wildlife Service titled, “A Dinner Party that's for the Birds” (2019), “Attracting Birds to Your Yard” (2016), and "Enjoying Birds Through Digiscoping" (2010).
